The
Vcenter-H500 is Fortune's mid-sized horizontal machining center. Its all
round strength and rigidity coupled with high speed features makes this
machine ideal for machine shops looking for high productivity. Designed
with some of the latest design and analysis techniques, the Vcenter-H500
boasts advanced features to reduce cycle times and increase machining
precision.

Specific Features :
- Heavy Duty Meehanite cast machine bed for excellent damping
properties. Nodular gray cast iron, cast and annealed to the exact
specifications laid out in the Meehanite process.
- X, Y and Z axis linear guides are of the NRS type which
ensures high rigidity and
damping. NRS type guides offer much higher dynamic stiffness over
other types of
guides so positioning as well as surface finish and tool life is
increased.
- Rotary pallet changer is another standard feature of the
Vcenter-H500. The design
of this APC allows rapid pallet changes of a mere 11 seconds.
- 1° table indexing is another major feature of the
Vcenter-H500. The conical pin
design gives high positional accuracy while hydraulic clamping can
withstand high
forces.
- DDS 6,000rpm Spindle is a very unique feature to the
Vcenter-H500. The
integration of spindle and motor to one unit allows for much
higher precision as
vibration sources such as belts, pulleys and gears have been
eliminated. This type
of spindle can go from 0 to 6000rpm in just 0.4 seconds.
- Spindle oil cooler is another Fortune standard to accommodate
tougher machining
conditions. The oil cooler maintains the spindle oil at a constant
temperature to
minimize thermal growth and prolong bearing life.
- 40 tool magazine is a standard feature on the Vcenter-H630.
This allows for the
storage of a large selection of tools for operations with many
tool changes or for the
machining of different components.
- Rapid feed rates of 945ipm in the all axes makes this machine
ideal for high
production machining as well as precision positioning.
- Direct coupled servomotors to eliminate backlash. Flexible
couplings eliminate any
noise due to minor misalignments encountered with other
transmission systems.
Double anchored ballscrews that are pretensioned during machine
assemble
improve machining accuracy by minimizing the effects of thermal
growth.
- Hydraulic counter balance is another unique feature on the
Vcenter-H500. This type of counterbalance offers smoother and more
responsive positioning with the high rapid feed rates associated
with this machine.
