Compact Design

The simple compact design occupies minimal floor space 7'0.6" x 5'1.4" for VTplus-15/20. To assist in tailoring the machine to fit into existing shop floor layouts, the swarf conveyor can be located at either the rear or the right hand side of the machine bed.

Continuous Machining Accuracy

Offset tool holder, designed to reduce spindle height, makes cutting more stable. The headstock is designed to minimize the effects of thermal expansion. In tests, a high Cp value (Capability of Precision, the higher the value obtained, the better accuracy repeatability displayed) of 1.41 at + 15 µm tolerance is obtained on VTplus-15. This remarkable achievement even reaches grade A -- the highest level (Cp value over 133), which shows the accuracy and stability, of the VTplus machines.

The VTplus series of compact chuckers incorporates technical features that should enable the user to maximize profit potential through a high rate of performance that will increase productivity. On tests, these machines have proven to be capable of high positional accuracy and have achieved outstanding surface finish performance. Suitable high machining quality required such as motor and hydraulic parts.
 

 

 Expandability and Automation

The design of the VTplus machines has an emphasis on automation. The physical size of the machines is ideal for cellular manufacturing systems, where it can be coupled to gantry type loading devices, barfeed equipment or robotics. Coupling a machine with any of these items gives a low cost automation process, beneficial to the intended purpose of the machine to maximize profit with performance.
